For nearly 20 years, Joellen has been involved with development (over, under, and in between) in the role of NGO founder and director, ICTD practitioner, and activist. She began 2013 in Namibia on a livelihood creation project building a sales network for solar lamps, observing first hand the power of social enterprise in assisting community development. In her work with divi, she hopes to prove “poor” people do not exist, only people lacking access.
